THE MOST RECENT STUDY ON YOUTH IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN
Youth: A Pending Subject has the objective of gathering and discussing solid information and data about participation and political attitudes of young people in Latin America and the Caribbean.
We present a thematic approach to the results of the survey conducted by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung through the research and polling company YouGov. In 2024, the survey was applied to nearly 22,000 young people in 14 countries* in the region..
The survey questions were formulated from 5 main blocks:
Living conditions of young people in the region (employment, health, education)
Political vision and main problems in each country
Positioning on main political causes and democracy
Forms of and motivations for participation in parties, unions and social organizations
Our aim is to provide an overview of the main results of the survey, thus only a selection of the questionnaire is presented here. The full regional publication and expanded country reports* will be available soon.
